Pooja Gandhi one of the beautiful actresses of Kannada films in fact hails from Punjab. It was while pursuing her first year degree at New Delhi films came calling her. She thus made her acting debut with a Bengali film 'Tomake Salam'. She then quickly moved to the south and bagged a role in a Tamil film 'Kokki'. The movie failed at the box office but Pooja Gandhi's excellent acting talents got wide recognition.
